Jody has always been very energetic & loves to exercise, so working at the Kingsbury Club has been a perfect match!
As Kingsbury Clubʼs Fitness Director, Jody runs a great team of solid, professional personal trainers and group exercise instructors.
As As a Group Exercise Instructor herself, Jody enjoys mixing up her workouts with both strength and cardio, always with a lot of energy, variety and fun!
Jody also works with individuals as well as small groups, as a Certified AFAA Personal Trainer.
As a Graduate of the Nutrition program, A Diet Free Life, as well a Specialist in Fitness Nutrition, Jody has a strong unde understanding of the importance of healthy eating habits and enjoys helping people reach their goals.
- ANNE CANNY WARGO
ANNE WARGO is licensed and practicing as a DESE Physical Education Teacher in Duxbury, MA, for grades 5 - 12. She has been in the Fitness Industry since 2001 and holds certifications from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) for Group Fitness, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) for Personal Training, the National Cardio Kickboxing Association (NCKA) for Boxing and Kickboxing and the American Heart Association for CPR/AED.
Anne's focus for Personal Training is on the individual client and their personal goals. She works with preventing or rehabilitating injuries and has had much success partnering with Physical Therapists. Anne customizes each fitness program to meet her clients’ goals with proven success.
Anne is a former gymnast and an active sportsperson who enjoys tennis, golf, running, power walking and biking. She has trained for many years with a professional boxer's trainer, a martial artist and a World Champion Kickboxer. In addition to Personal Training, she teaches aqua fitness, kickboxing, contact boxing, and competes annually in triathlons and road races.
- CAROL KINAN
CAROL KINAN is a personal trainer and Yoga instructor certified by the American College of Sports Medicine. In addition, she was recently certified to teach a groundbreaking program called “Brains and Balance over 60” by Exercise Etc.
Carol has been employed by the Kingsbury Club for over 8 years. She specializes in helping individuals of all ages to strengthen their core muscles, improve overall strength and balance through Yoga. Over the years she has taught a variety of classes, including small group circuit trainings, functional training classes, water fitness, childrens’ Yoga, chair Yoga and Hatha Yoga.
Carol is an energetic and positive person who really enjoys helping people! She especially loves to enrich the lives of older adults and those who are physically and/or mentally challenged. Carol believes everyone deserves to feel their very best!
- CORINNE POORE
CORINNE POORE is a dedicated fitness professional. She is an AFAA Certified Instructor and an FRA Personal Trainer. She maintains these qualifications by continuing a regimen of ongoing study and by attending related workshops.
Corinne specializes in Pre/Post Natal Fitness and Senior Fitness. She has the ability to work well with people of all ages and fitness levels. As a fitness trainer,s she feels that it's important to understand the client's goals and provide knowledge, motivation, and an individual exercise program in order to help them achieve those goals. Her personal goal is to help people become healthier, happier and to improve the overall quality of their life.
- HEATHER KINGCERTIFIED TRAINER
HEATHER KING is a certified personal trainer with The American College if Sports Medicine. She has been active in sports all her life and enjoys the many facets of exercise. She is also a registered nurse with over 20 years varied healthcare experience.HEATHER KINGis a certified personal trainer with The American College if Sports Medicine. Heather now enjoys being on the proactive side of healthcare. She enjoys helping clients achieve their fitness goals, and will work closely with them to help make it happen. She enjoys the reward of seeing her clients embrace a program, implement it and enjoy the results!
Heather has also been working on a small t-shirt business she started just over 2 years ago. You may have noticed some of them on display here at Kingsburys' business of the month; 4kDesignTees . Heather is cpr/aed certified.
- DR. JAY LEITH
DR. JAY LEITH is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine in Duxbury specializing in conservative management of neuromusculoskeletal conditions and has completed post-graduate training as a Board Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician.Dr Jay specializes in golf injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. He is certified in Graston Technique and Spidertech kinesiotaping. Dr. Jay is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine and a member of the "Exercise is Medicine" initiative. He is also a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor and has completed Level 2 and 3 Medical Professional training with the Titleist Performance Institute.As a Titleist Medical Professional, Dr. Jay is not analyzing the golf swing for instructional purposes, but rather to investigate any swing faults that place undue stress on the body that may lead to or cause an injury. Many swing faults are caused by physical limitations such as lack of mobility, core stability, muscular strength or joint dysfunction and possible movement pattern deficiencies. If he visually detects a swing fault (improper swing mechanics), he can then cross check it with the TPI Fitness Screening to see if a physical limitation is the cause of the swing fault. - JOSH LOPEZCERTIFIED TRAINER
JOSH LOPEZ has a passion for fitness and is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer. He graduated from Roger Williams University in the spring of 2014 and completed 6 months of an educational and hands-on experience in a comprehensive Personal Training program at the National Institute of Personal Training.
Josh has been active his entire life. He began playing ice hockey when he was four years old and then went on to play lacrosse and swim competitively a few years later. In his spare time he still enjoys playing ice hockey and running obstacle races.
Josh specializes in strength and resistance type training with a strong emphasis on proper form. He also has experience in sports specific training. Josh enjoys helping others to become the healthiest versions of themselves, as well as motivating his clients to achieve and surpass their training goals. He believes it’s important to keep challenging yourself, but it’s even more important to enjoy the process and have fun.
- KAREN GOLDBERG
KAREN GOLDBERG is certified on all Pilates apparatus (Matwork, Reformer, Rehab Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector) by the internationally recognized Stott Pilates Education Program. Additionally, she has completed Stott's Stability Ball and Golf and Racquet sports training. Having completed Stott's Injuries and Special Populations requirements she is at ease working with clients of all levels of fitness. Whether a well conditioned athlete or someone returning to fitness after an injury, Karen can offer the specific programming necessary to further one's goals.Having used Pilates for successful rehab from back and neck pain herself, Karen believes that the core strength and development of mind body connection offered by Pilates will benefit anyone by providing a healthy spine, improved posture, and increased strength and flexibility. In addition, Karen enjoys teaching Pilates to the Kingsbury Club youth, including swim teams.
Karen has a B.S. from Simmons College and a M.S. from the University of Lowell.
- KELLY BARLOWCERTIFIED TRAINER
KELLY BARLOW has over 15 years of fitness experience, a B.S. in Management from Florida Institute of Technology and a Med. in Health and Fitness from Boston University. Over the years Kelly has focused on neuromuscular function with mind body connections in all fitness levels, improving overall wellness, proper breathing technique, strength and flexibility.
Kelly is Balance Point certified in Mat Pilates Level 1 and 2, in Pilates Reformer and TRX training and is CPR/AED certified. Her group fitness experience includes teaching group fitness classes, strength and conditioning classes, Pilates mat and Reformer classes. As a former owner of a personal training studio she devoted years to motivating adults to improve their own level of fitness as well as managing staff to efficiently and safely meet client needs.
As a collegiate Division II basketball player Kelly understands the work and dedication needed to support young athletes. She is actively involved in youth sports, serves as a member of the Duxbury Youth Basketball board, developed an after school Pilates program for students, and is a J.V. girls high school basketball coach at Thayer Academy. Kelly enjoys teaching and motivating kids of all ages and feels there is a wonderful opportunity for professionals to empower youth through proper fitness training. A lifelong learner, she believes there is always more knowledge to gain in the fitness industry.
- KIM SWEENEYCERTFIED TRAINER
KIM SWEENEY is an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer, FRA Yoga Certified Instructor, AFAA Sports Nutrition Certified, Reiki Practioner and former Ms. Hercules, WNBF Professional Bodybuilder.
Kim offers a wide variety of fitness benefits to all ranges of conditioning levels. Her workouts will provide you with a healthier, more balanced life style. Ranging from young overweight children, fit young athletes, all the way to any sports specific training, rehab and to weight loss – you will benefit from her programs.
- KOREY ROUSSEAU
KOREY ROUSSEAU is an International Sports Sciences Association certified personal trainer. Korey also holds a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He has been involved in a multitude of sports ranging from marathon running to motorcross racing. He is also a multidisciplinary athletic coach with a slight background in physical therapy. Korey has over 4 years of professional personal training and over 9 years of self training. He utilizes his knowledge and experience to develop the best programs for all training levels and goals. He knows no goal is out of reach and if you believe you can or believe you can't, you're right.
Korey focuses on functional strength and endurance and understands that everyone is different and will have different needs. Korey follows a method which he formulated after years of testing with all different types of people; he calls it Strength Endurance Training Technique or SETT for short. Korey has a firm belief in the 7 Principles of exercise science (individuality, overload, adaptation, progression, specificity, recovery and reversibility) as well as form and full control of all movements. A creative, enjoyable and a new fitness lifestyle is the outcome. Korey is here to assist you in becoming the best version of you.
- MONICA BILLARDCERTIFIED TRAINERMONICA BILLARD has more than 30 years experience working in the fitness industry. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training and a Master of Science degree in Health, Sport, and Fitness Management.Monica worked for more than 12 years in Boston at The Boston Racquet Club in various roles including ACE/ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Director, and Assistant General Manager. Monica has also worked as a practicum faculty member instructing candidates preparing for the ACSM Health/Fitness Instructor certification. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and is qualified to work with individuals who want to train for a specific sport and/or to improve athletic performance.Monica has an athletic background having participated competitively in sports such as volleyball, basketball, crew, soccer, softball, golf, triathlons, and road races. As a 200 hour level Certified Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapy Practitioner, she teaches classes, and is availablefor both group and private one-on-one yoga. Monica enjoys working with all ages and fitness levels and believes when we take care of ourselves we make a positive contribution to the world.
- STELLA SAWYERCERTIFIED TRAINER
STELLA SAWYER is a proven professional with over 25 years of education and extensive experience in the exciting health and physical fitness industry.
As a certified personal trainer and aerobic group instructor, she has been fully accredited and is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Fitness Association of America. Stella's personally designed "Wellness through Fitness" programs encompass all age groups and have benefitted numerous fitness clubs, senior centers, and private organizations on the South Shore, as well as her private fitness clients.
Her personality and positive "can do" attitude are demonstrated daily in her fitness philosophy, "Be the very best you can be!" Always ready and willing to welcome and assist prospective clients to our club, she will design a great fitness program exclusively for you that will meet all the necessary activities for reaching your personal goals. - THERESA MOYLAN
TTHERESA MOYLAN is a personal trainer certified by the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America. Theresa has over 20 years experience as a fitness professional holding certifications in Aerobics, Body Bar, Step, Kickboxing, Pilates, Bosu, and Reebok Cycling. Theresa has also motivated and managed fitness professionals as an assistant fitness director.Theresa combines her passion for fitness with her unique ability to motivate not only individuals, but large groups to achieve their personal wellness goals. Her group exercise experience, combined with her personal training certification provides her clients with not only a challenging and effective fitness program but one which is unique, fun and different every session.
